Our Junior Programme is a progressive programme, which operates at different levels. The course incorporates the three colour coded stages, Mini Red, Mini Orange, and Mini Green to enable players to play at a stage appropriate to them. Social players then progress to the Dunlop Squad. Players wishing to take tennis on as a main sport may trial or be selected for a place in the Kings Programme.

The aim is to provide an opportunity for junior players of all abilities to become coordinated at racket and ball skills and learn the game on mini court areas, eventually leading to the full game of tennis. We offer an exciting and colourful introduction to the game that will sustain a young player's interest and give them the desire to play tennis for life.

The ages range from 4-11years. The scheme accommodates the fact that some children will move through the levels at a faster rate than others. Age acts only as a guideline. Players are standardised by the coaching staff, which ensures players enter the programme at the appropriate level.

MINI RED
Our classes cover movement, co-ordination and ball skills. An introduction to the game and above all else fun! Sponge balls and red balls, together with small rackets and mini nets are used.
MINI ORANGE
Played on a larger court with low compression tennis balls. The emphasis is on playing the game, enjoying competition and learning all the shots.
MINI GREEN COURSES
Played on a full size court with a ball that is slightly lighter and softer than a full tennis ball. This promotes longer rallies. Children are encouraged to play matches and be competitive as they progress towards the full game.
DUNLOP SQUAD
These players use regular size tennis balls and have developed the basic skills of tennis. This class concentrates on fun in a competitive environment. Players are invited to participate in the club tournaments.
